ChargeFind Pro does not work with the "Find My" app. What should I do?

To successfully connect ChargeFind Pro to the Find My app, please follow these detailed steps:

  • Check Bluetooth: Make sure Bluetooth is turned on on your iPhone. Without Bluetooth turned on, the device will not be able to communicate with the iPhone. Go to your iPhone's Settings and turn Bluetooth on if it is turned off.
  • Remove previous connections: If ChargeFind Pro was already paired with another device, you will need to delete that connection first. Open the Find My app, go to Settings and remove ChargeFind Pro from the list of connected devices. Alternatively, you can do this via Bluetooth settings in your iPhone.
  • Reset device: To reset ChargeFind Pro, plug the device into the vehicle's cigarette lighter while the engine is on. Then plug and unplug it six times in a row. Make sure you hear a beep each time to confirm that the device has been properly inserted. This reset ensures that the device is ready to make a new connection.
  • Check if the vehicle is turned on: ChargeFind Pro only works when the vehicle is turned on. Make sure the engine is running and the cigarette lighter is providing power for the device to be active.
  • Open the Find My app: Once the device is reset and the engine is on, open the Find My app on your iPhone. Wait a few seconds until ChargeFind Pro appears in the list of available devices. It should appear automatically as the app is pre-installed and no additional software is needed.
  • Connect: Select ChargeFind Pro from the list of devices in the Find My app to connect. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process. Make sure no other devices (e.g. other trackers or AirTags) are interfering with the connection.
  • Check location sharing and permissions: Make sure location services are enabled on your iPhone. Go to Settings → Privacy → Location Services and make sure Location Services is enabled and the Find My app is allowed to access your location.
  • Make sure no other device is interfering: If there are multiple devices nearby that are also connected via the Find My app (e.g. AirPods, other AirTags), this could affect the connection. Temporarily turn off such devices or disable their Bluetooth to avoid interference.
  • Audible confirmation: Once the connection is successful, you should hear a beep from the ChargeFind Pro confirming that the device is properly paired. You can now track your vehicle's location via the Find My app.

If you are still having difficulties, check the cigarette lighter power supply and make sure there is no contaminant interfering with the plug connection. A clean and stable power flow is necessary for the tracker to function properly.

By following all of these steps carefully, the connection with ChargeFind Pro should work smoothly.
